Dijon Race Weekend Recap
Dijon was both challenging and rewarding, a truly productive few days filled with progress, learning, and moments of resilience.
Thursday – Private Testing
The weekend kicked off with a private test session where we focused on refining the car setup and improving my driving ahead of Friday’s qualifying. It was a solid start, and the adjustments made helped build confidence for the days to come.
Friday – Qualifying
I qualified P20 out of a 30-car grid, just 1 second off the pole position. The pace was strong and shows we have the speed to compete with the front runners. That result gave me a huge boost going into the races.
Saturday – Races 1 & 2
Race 1
Start: P20
Finish: P17
A poor start saw me lose ground early, but I stayed focused and fought back with a series of clean overtakes and consistent lap times. Avoiding trouble and staying calm allowed me to recover to P17.
Race 2
Start: P20
Finish: P16
This time, I got off the line well and gained three places in the opening corner. I was in a tight battle throughout the race, holding my own and pushing forward to finish P16.
Sunday – Race 3
Start: P18
Finish: P17
Another tough start dropped me back, but I stayed composed, focusing on tyre management and strong defensive driving. I maintained my position and finished in P17.
Overall Reflections
Despite some setbacks throughout the weekend, I made significant progress in my driving and racecraft. Each session provided valuable experience, and I’m walking away from Dijon feeling confident and motivated. A solid step forward — and I’m fully focused on carrying this momentum into the next round at Spa.
